strategies.beer — Our Philosophy

The Experiment

The best ideas don't come from boardrooms. They come from honest, uninhibited conversations — where people stop filtering themselves and start actually thinking.

Growing up around craft brewing, there was always one truth that stood out: the best batches came from experiments nobody thought would work. The "stupid" idea from the corner of the room that everyone politely ignored — until it turned out to be the best thing on the menu.

That's the founding idea behind strategies.beer. Not a polished corporate manifesto. An experiment.

"Drunk ideas aren't stupid. They're uninhibited. The difference between a ramble and a successful business isn't the quality of the idea — it's the execution."
01

Inhibition Kills Innovation

The biggest barrier to breakthrough ideas isn't intelligence — it's fear of looking stupid. Real thinking happens when the filter comes off.

02

Rough Ideas Need Refinement

Like brewing: start raw, refine through process, test relentlessly, and deliver something excellent. The chaos is part of the craft.

03

Experiments Are Essential

The best recipes — beer, strategy, or digital marketing — come from testing wild ideas, measuring what works, and doubling down.

What This Means in Practice

strategies.beer is a publication, a community, and a creative lab. We write about the beverage industry, digital marketing, bar culture, and the business of hospitality — with the same honest, experimental spirit that drives the best craft producers.

Every article, guide, and analysis we publish is the result of that same process: start with a genuine question, dig in without pretending to know the answer, and share what we find — even when it's messy.

We don't do press releases dressed up as editorial. We don't do listicles optimised purely for Google. We do the experiment — and then we write about what happened.

Four Generations of Thinking This Way

This approach isn't new to us. It's how four generations of craft thinking have operated — always questioning, always testing, never satisfied with "that's just how it's done." That ethos now lives in every word we publish.
